Since Ayurveda, (the Science of Life) is really the oldest system known to man it is certainly OVER 5000 years AND is a holistic science that encompasses a profound body of knowledge for understanding ourselves and others within the laws of nature that GOD has established. As a reminder just because I study chemistry, botany or the biomechanics of the golf swing or remind people that Bernard Langer is 58 (he just won the Schwab Cup-AGAIN) and now rotates his left hip and shoulder out of the way (instead of the former “C shape” of the Jack Nicklaus era) to relieve back stress and injuries. Or maybe Doug Tewell and his injury lessening Square to Square Method-this takes nothing away from any of it. I/WE teach at Bowman Health’s Holistic Golf Performance Systems that as someone gets older they may want to CONSIDER making appropriate changes to accommodate the arising circumstances. In other words, what I call to “THINK and Grow Wiser”.
So anyway, consider the ancient and time tested concept of doshas. According to Ayurveda, each individual and all of nature is comprised of the five fundamental elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. These elements uniquely design each one of us, creating a distinct blueprint known as our Dosha. TheBiblical principle of “dust to dust” seems to be earthen in nature. Correct me if I am wrong. However, just consider growing older gracefully and with less stress. Make sense?
